Wootch is an Amazon price notification tool for Windows computers. The application connects with the Amazon servers and lets you know of any new sales that might be going on. By letting the application know your Amazon account details, you can also carry out shopping operations from within Wootch. You can browse the Amazon website and also add items to your lists (wishlists, etc) and add items to the cart. The application does a good job of keeping a record of prices, as well. So it can notify you when a price has changed (for good or for worse). Notifications are usually given by either a pop-up message or e-mail. It is up to you which one works best. Wootch also gives you a free live preview of MP3 songs from the Amazon MP3 service. So, to start using Wootch all you really have to do is look for a product and select a desired price, then the application will start looking and showing you what has been found. Over time, it will also track price changes. You can also add products to several different lists. The wootchlist (watchlist) is the list of the items that you are tracking and it can be exported to and imported from an Excel file. Wootch can access several different Amazon websites, such as USA, UK, Canada, etc. Graphically, the application is quite easy on the eye, though plain as well. I was using this application and it was working well, but after a few tries it stopped finding anything. It couldn't even display product information for an Amazon link that I pasted into the box. Just weird. A reinstall didn't help my case.
